Beacon Volunteers

Beacon offers a unique opportunity for employees to not only give back to the community, but also contribute toward their own development. Our volunteering opportunities are vast and each experience ensures individuals are strengthening their skill-sets and capabilities in line with their own aspirations. Taking part in skilled volunteering has proven to be a valuable step in both professional and personal development, with the experience being transferable across multiple job functions and capability frameworks.

Beacon’s community of online volunteers are knowledgeable and experienced in their chosen fields, and eager to make a difference.

Across 2017/18 Beacon will be inviting our supporters to take the next steps with us on our journey to REACH, CONNECT and INSPIRE more young Australians. By registering with Beacon online you become an ‘online volunteer’. Opportunities for you to make a difference across Australia are promoted by our online team, our current focus is MyRoad.

Find out more about MyRoad mentoring
MyRoad is an innovative online mentoring program which connects young Australian females to industry mentors across Australia.

We are currently seeking volunteer mentors to lead MyRoad sessions across 2018.  During a two-hour online session, online mentors support students in the development of key skills required to understand and succeed in the changing world of work. We need mentors from a diverse range of backgrounds and occupations to share their experiences in the world of work and help students shape their futures. Find out more today.

We are passionate about creating and delivering experiences that equip and empower students to transition into meaningful careers after high-school.
