MyRoad Mentoring

Beacon Volunteers

Beacon offers a unique opportunity for employees to not only give back to the community, but also contribute toward their own development. Our volunteering opportunities are vast and each experience ensures individuals are strengthening their skillsets and capabilities in line with their own aspirations. Taking part in skilled volunteering has proven to be a valuable step in both professional and personal development, with the experience being transferable across multiple job functions and capability frameworks.

eBeacon volunteers are skilled, knowledgeable, experienced in their chosen fields, and eager to make a difference. Our platform enables educators (teachers) to book ‘real time’ with collaborators (you) from across Australia and make a difference, through creating classroom content that is relevant and engaging.

Across 2017 Beacon will be inviting our supporters to take the next steps with us on our journey to REACH, CONNECT and INSPIRE more young Australians. By registering with eBeacon you automatically become a Beacon Collaborator and within your profile there is an ability to highlight the opportunity you wish to volunteer in. These include Business Blackboards, Career Stories, High Impact Programs, Learning Lives and MyRoad.

We are passionate about creating and delivering contemporary curriculum designed to equip and empower students to transition into meaningful careers after high-school. The synergy between educators and industry makes this possible!

Register now, we hope to see you in an induction session soon!

Current Volunteering Opportunity - MyRoad eMentoring

Beacon Foundation is currently seeking volunteer mentors to lead MyRoad sessions between 1 August 2017 and mid-April 2018. We need mentors from a diverse range of backgrounds and occupations to share their experiences in the world of work and help students shape their futures. MyRoad’s focus is on schools in disadvantaged areas where authentic work-related interventions will have the greatest impact.
