Connect

Connecting, interacting and effectively collaborating is at the heart of the Beacon Model.

The Beacon Model strives to facilitate sustainable local, regional, state, national and global networks. This is achieved by connecting and engaging stakeholders to build strong foundations so that a collaborative approach to education can flourish.

The Beacon Model, alongside stakeholder connections and collaboration, will enhance the capacity of schools to provide a range of additional skills and resources to broaden experiences for young people. For example, bring the curriculum to life for students and teachers in an authentic way, using Business Blackboard lesson plans. Teacher expertise can also be augmented by authentically connecting with a community of business volunteers – Beacon Collaborators.

The connecting stakeholders include:

  • Schools & educators
  • Australian families
  • Business & industry
  • Australian communities
  • Community groups
  • Beacon staff

Some of the connecting approaches applied through the Beacon model include:

  • Business Partnership Groups
  • Collaborative Classrooms
  • Beacon Collaborators
  • Beacon Student Ambassadors
