MyRoad School Participation
Become a MyRoad school!
Beacon Foundation is currently taking bookings from schools to host MyRoad sessions between 1 August 2017 and mid-April 2018. MyRoad is fully funded through to the end of April 2018 so there is no direct cost to schools.
MyRoad’s unique online / virtual delivery means we can connect mentors from any location to regional, rural or metropolitan classrooms across the country! MyRoad mentors will come from a diverse range of occupations and will reflect cultural and gender diversity.
Through a two-hour interactive video session, trained industry mentors will engage with female secondary school students aged 16 to 19 (or turning 16 that year) using questioning and enquiring techniques to maximise student engagement around key themes. With a focus on building knowledge and understanding of the 21st Century skills needed in a rapidly changing world of work, mentors will also share their own experiences with students in small groups of 3 to 5.
Beacon schools, please contact your local Beacon representative to make a booking today or BOOK NOW.
Non-Beacon schools, please CONTACT US for further information.
Please note that key aspects of the MyRoad program, including session delivery on the day, will require the use of Zoom technology (similar to Skype). For those not familiar with Zoom, please see our FAQs.
