
NSW - Working With Children Check - Volunteering with Beacon
The New South Wales Working with Children Check (WWC check) is administered by the Office of the Children’s Guardian.

VOLUNTEERS: IF YOU HAVE A CHECK
If you have forgotten your Working With Children Check details you can retrieve them from the department.
- If you are already registered for eBeacon please sign in and update your profile to include your Working With Children check details.
- If you are not registered for eBeacon please register and then provide your check details in the Working with Children tab of your eBeacon profile.
- Beacon will notify you via email when we have validated your Working with Children Check.

VOLUNTEERS: IF YOU DON'T HAVE A CHECK
- If you are not registered for eBeacon please register.
- Please apply for a volunteer Working with Children Check online via the NSW Working with Children Check website. Volunteer checks are free.
- In the “purpose for check” section of the application form you will be asked to nominate a “child related sector” – please select Education.
- Please email wwcc@beaconfoundation.org.au to advise that you have lodged your application.
- The NSW Office of the Children’s Guardian will send you confirmation once your Working with Children Check application has been approved.
- Once you have your check details, please sign into eBeacon and provide them in the Working with Children tab of your eBeacon profile.
- Beacon will notify you via email when we have validated your Working with Children Check.

Teachers in New South Wales hold WWC checks.
