NSW - Working With Children Check - Volunteering with Beacon The New South Wales Working with Children Check (WWC check) is administered by the Office of the Children’s Guardian. TEACHERS – Scroll to the end of page for information.VOLUNTEERS: IF YOU HAVE A CHECK If you have forgotten your Working With Children Check details you can retrieve them from the department. If you are already registered for eBeacon please sign in and update your profile to include your Working With Children check details. If you are not registered for eBeacon please register and then provide your check details in the Working with Children tab of your eBeacon profile. Beacon will notify you via email when we have validated your Working with Children Check. VOLUNTEERS: IF YOU DON'T HAVE A CHECK If you are not registered for eBeacon please register. Please apply for a volunteer Working with Children Check online via the NSW Working with Children Check website. Volunteer checks are free. In the “purpose for check” section of the application form you will be asked to nominate a “child related sector” – please select Education. Please email email@example.com to advise that you have lodged your application. The NSW Office of the Children’s Guardian will send you confirmation once your Working with Children Check application has been approved. Once you have your check details, please sign into eBeacon and provide them in the Working with Children tab of your eBeacon profile. Beacon will notify you via email when we have validated your Working with Children Check. TEACHERS Teachers in New South Wales hold WWC checks.
